Theresa Hegstetter

Background

Theresa Hegstetter is our in-house Legal Nurse Consultant at Jackel & Phillips PC. She comes to our firm with over 25 years of nursing experience with a specialization in Hospital and Critical Care Medicine. Theresa began her clinical practice as a Registered Nurse at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida. She remained at Shands for over 10 years before moving to Tallahassee Florida where she worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She returned to Gainesville and Shands Hospital for 5 years and worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit/Overnight Critical Care Unit before moving to Kennesaw Georgia in 2001.

After moving to Georgia, Theresa worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Cartersville Medical Center and began her career in Legal Nurse Consulting in 2005. As an expert witness on behalf of both Plaintiff and Defense firms, Theresa has reviewed and testified in numerous cases here in Georgia as well as across the United States. Joining our team in 2013, Theresa reviews and consults on all Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury cases and is a vital part of our legal team.
